We reimagined the traditional kampung soul within the constraints of modern apartment living. The design objective was twofold: to invite the lush greenery from the balcony inward and to create a seamless blend of heritage and practicality.

Our custom TV cabinetry was realized through the Tanggam wood-joining system, a traditional Malay method that requires no nails. Crafted from veneer and solid Semangkuk wood, this piece doubles as a feline transit system.

We implemented a dedicated EDC area at the entryway to eliminate clutter, ensuring the flow of the home remains uninterrupted. From the dual-purpose cat perches in the master suite to the rustic textures of the living zone, every square inch serves a purpose.

The soul of CNS House lies in its Structural Authority. We integrated authentic Tiang Seri posts sourced from reclaimed timber in Klang. These posts, hand-picked by the owners, add an authentic touch of heritage to the space. And for the cats, the base of the posts was wrapped in a material perfect for scratching!
